Manatawny Green was built on a former industrial site with a series of grants from Montgomery County, Pottstown Area Health and Wellness Foundation and the PECO Green Region Program, creating a tourism recreation facility in Pottstown's Western gateway district, which also includes Memorial Park, Colebrookdale Railroad, Pottstown Carousel and Pott's Manor historic site.
